NEW AGREEMENT BETWEEN INFORMER S.A. AND BANK OF ATTICA FOR THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE BANK'S ATMs
INFORMER S.A. undertook the installation and customization of the application software that will support the ATMs of the bank.
This new agreement continues the successful cooperation between INFORMER S.A. and the BANK OF ATTICA for the implementation of TEMENOS GLOBUS to cover the Retail, Private and Corporate operations of the bank, which was signed on April 2001 and it is under implementation.
The BANK OF ATTICA S.A. acts as a Societe Anonyme Banking Organization. It was founded in 1925 and it operates 52 branches in Greece.
The new agreement was signed on February 22nd, 2002 and its total value at the first phase rises to 600.000 EUROS.
The agreement includes the supply of the licenses of the application software “u/Switchware” of Consolidated Systems of Florida Inc., for the bank’s ATMs administration and the implementation services. With this project the BANK OF ATTICA obtains the flexibility of administering the existing ATMs network and the transactions made by this network with link to the host banking system, TEMENOS GLOBUS and the ability to offer 24 hours banking services to its customers.
The application software licenses cover the interface and administration of the ATMs network, the link to the TEMENOS GLOBUS host banking system, the interface with “DIAS”, “VISA” and “EUROPAY” organizations and all the necessary levels of security (encryptions, etc.).
The project also includes the maintenance and support services of the final application software “u/Switchware” (after the customizations) and the training of the bank’s personnel.
Although the agreed project implementation time is four months, the BANK OF ATTICA is expected to be ready to provide its new banking services sooner, in combination with the live operation of the first phase of its central banking system (TEMENOS GLOBUS) implementation.
