MISR ROMANIA BANK (MRB)
TEMENOS EASTERN EUROPE Ltd. a shareholder of which is INFORMER S.A. (49%) having also the management, undertook the installation and implementation of
banking software system TEMENOS GLOBUS™ in the MISR ROMANIA BANK (MRB).
MISR ROMANIA BANK (MRB) is a private commercial bank in Egypt that was established in May 1977. The Bank has its premises in Cairo and operates with a network of 5 branches in Egypt and 2 in Romania. The number of its employees is more than 200.
The Bank is rated as the 27th among the Egyptian banks with a sharing capital of $50M. All the shareholders of the Bank are well-known Banks and other Financial Institutions in Egypt and Romania.
The contract signed in March 2001 for an amount of about $1.300.000. The total work includes the installation and implementation of TEMENOS GLOBUS™ in all areas of operations of the Bank, in its Head Office and its Branches as well, related to Retail, Corporate Banking and Treasury activities.
In detail, the installation includes integrated applications such as: Accounts, Customers, Commercial Loans (Collaterals and Limits), Letters of Credit (L/C), incorporated Accounting (GL) with Profitability Analysis, full Management Information System as well as Foreign Exchange and Money Market applications.
The implementation is expected to complete before the end of 2002.
This is the 3rd successful implementation in Romania. The other two are, one in National Bank of Greece and the second one in Guarantee Bank.
